Totally agree with you; bruises and scars are part of who we are. We can't deny them. I love the spots where you drew the bruises on her skin, places that are normally not seen when you have clothes on. For me, this represents the stories that people ignore about us, what we hide that restricts others from seing us in our true form. Injuries that change a whole mentality once we expose them. Her pose and the fact that she is naked, show pride in my opinion, pride for her bruises. What she has gone through, lifted her higher, built her tougher, made her a fighter, not a victim. Her long hair depicts for me, that it was a hard and lasting battle. Lengthy struggles over and over again. They never end; that's life. The expression on her eyes transmits calmness, peace. She is finally able to accept her experiences and herself as an individual. She lets go of hatred, resentment, pain, and sorrow. She is free. Great shading tecnique and fantastic piece. Applause. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
